The nature of a non-profit is that the timing and details of projects can be at the whim of your funders. A major non-profit in Philadelphia won a new contract, but needed to set up a 40+ user highly secure network including e-mail from scratch in less than three weeks:
- Without having full access to the site, since the current holder of the contract was occupying the space.
- Restricted access to off/hour weekend time since building was crazy secure.
- Current contract holder working to 5:00pm on Friday, new network needed to be in place and operational 8:00am the following Monday, again w/o access to the space on the weekend.
#i2m commandeered a lab at the new site, set up and configured the clients and network on a private network in the lab(we couldn’t use the existing one), staged the install that Friday, got there bright and early on Monday when the building opened, and were able to deploy 90% of the new fully configured clients at an average of one every 3-5 minutes, so by the time people arrived at 8:00am, they could work….
