Born and raised in Philadelphia, went to Lincoln High School where with my TI99 4/a began my road to geek-dom competing in computer challenges, sponsored by the math department,  against all the guys (yea… it was all guys back then) with their  Apple IIs with the big floppy drives.

Left the city and off to university in central Pennsylvania  to fine-tune my geek-dom with a degree in Computer Science/Math from Bloomsburg University.

Out of college and ran the big machines overnight crunching the bills you received from State Farm Insurance.  Gradually working my way to writing the JCL, which peaked my interest in programming,  to control those big machines with their dish-washer size disk drives.

Left there to be an assistant programmer at EBP Health Plans, arrived writing reports and supporting their users and stayed there several years until I was running the IT department with 5 employees.  They were bought out, and I didn’t like the new parent company, so… Consulted for a bit and ended up running the IT department for Sharp Corporation in Conshohocken, PA.

Was recruited by their parent company, Superior Group, to plan and implement a WAN and Notes environment across US  and Europe for 50+ locations. After several years became CIO of Superior Group, and as the business model for SGI changed,  took the plunge and started #i2m with my long term head tech Mike.

When I’m not solving client issues, I’m listening to music, preferably live  (post-rock), watching soccer (season ticket holder with the Philly Union), or with my wife, wrangling my three boys.
